Privacy Policy

The following is the privacy policy and practices of The Housing Authority of Glasgow Information, as used in this notice, refers to nonpublic personal information that identifies an individual personally and is not otherwise available to the public. It includes, but is not limited to; personal financial information such as credit history, income, social security number, credit application, and driver's license number.

The Housing Authority of Glasgow collects information to support our normal business operations. We may obtain information directly from the customer, from customer-related transactions and from third parties, such as a consumer-reporting agency. Information is gathered from sources such as credit applications, transactions, and consumer reports.

The Housing Authority of Glasgow has established appropriate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to ensure the security and confidentiality of information; to protect against anticipated threats or hazards to the security of such information; and to protect against unauthorized access to or use of such information. Employees who have access to information may use it only for legitimate business purposes. Employees who violate our Privacy Policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge from employment.

The Housing Authority of Glasgow restricts access to customer information to only those individuals who need to know that information to provide products or services to its customers, or to conduct The Housing Authority of Glasgow business.

In order to serve our prospective and existing customers, The Housing Authority of Glasgow shares its customers  information in connection with the preparation and processing of credit applications or purchasing of products or services or to engage in other non-marketing business operations. For example, The Housing Authority of Glasgow may share information to prevent fraud, or to comply with the law or a civil or criminal subpoena or summons.
The Housing Authority of Glasgow does not share a customer’s information with another person or entity unless such party is subject to the same restrictions on disclosure of information to which The Housing Authority of Glasgow is subject.

Upon request, a customer of The Housing Authority of Glasgow is entitled to have access and correction rights regarding information about the customer collected from third parties in connection with an application for credit.

The Housing Authority of Glasgow will continue to follow this policy regarding customer information even when a customer relationship no longer exists.
